My Background

Soma means “of the body.”

The word soma comes from the Greek and means “of the body.” I offer in-depth somatic education for clients created to address the body’s unmet needs for health. While diving deeply into diverse fields, I deliver an integrative East-meets-West approach. Clients come from many countries and many fields and include care providers of all stripes. Doctors, birth-and bodyworkers, yogis, and fellow sexologists report their studies and experience with me revolutionized the way they think about embodiment.

My embodiment curriculum ranges widely, incorporating movement, psychology, trauma work, anatomy, nutrition, sexology, and bodywork. I especially respect the need for high-level scar remediation to provide relief at both physical and emotional levels. Future projects include assessment training for qualified professionals. This program will be rigorous. There are also books to write! I trust they will materialize as life unfolds – stay tuned.

My mission is to empower people to use their own anatomy as a road to self-discovery

Presently my focus rests with clients committed to informed, active participation in and on their journey to better health. Using your body as a laboratory, learning how to design and develop your own health practice is the first step. This pragmatic approach of “self-work first” applies to all my clients; I cannot and do not heal any body. I’ve witnessed many bodies and notice they contain the innate knowledge to heal on their own. Trusting both intuition and thoroughly informed deduction, I offer input based on tens of thousand of hours spent facilitating embodiment and transformation. My role is to connect the dots while providing informed, critical thinking.

During collaborative inquiry with clients, we arrive at the right questions. Once the right questions are identified (and each client’s questions are unique), I provide coaching and appropriate, effective self-health tips, tools and practices so clients can navigate the crossroads between symptom presentation and their realization of vibrant health. Allow me to help you discover your body’s needs.
